The Malaysian airline Firefly has announced the cancellation of its flights to Singapore due to the severe haze originating from fires in Indonesia. This decision comes as both Singapore and Kuala Lumpur have been classified as the world's most polluted cities, according to Al Jazeera.

The smoke and haze, resulting from Indonesian forest and land fires, have significantly impaired air quality in the region, prompting various health and safety concerns. The airline's move is aimed at ensuring passenger safety amidst growing environmental challenges.

At present, it is unclear how long the flight suspensions will last, as the situation depends on weather conditions and the actions taken to control the fires in Indonesia.
