The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo continues to escalate dramatically. According to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), more than 4,000 lives have been lost with over 8,500 confirmed cases spanning seven provinces.

The Ituri province, particularly Mambasa territory, remains heavily impacted. In just 24 hours, 18 deaths were reported there. The spread is described as moving "like a wildfire," with new clusters emerging weekly.

MSF highlights severe concerns about the situation in North Kivu. The organization's capacity for patient care is already overwhelmed. As the outbreak grows, the region faces increasing challenges in responding effectively.
